About Ken

Ken Schoen is an experienced New Jersey and New York trial lawyer with a winning track record of client service.   With more than 25 years of experience in state and federal courts, Mr. Schoen concentrates his practice in litigation at all levels, and guiding clients through legal processes including business development and immigration.

Mr. Schoen received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Emory University in 1985 and received a degree of Juris Doctorate from Boston University School of Law in 1988.  Early in his career, Mr. Schoen served as Deputy Attorney General for the State of New Jersey, where he was counsel to the State Health Benefits Commission and defended state entities and employees in tort claims and civil rights actions in both state and federal courts.  He was also an original appointee to the Environmental Compliance Unit of the Division of Law, created specifically to defend state agencies against environmental claims.  He previously founded the NJ and NY offices of a nationally recognized law firm, and having represented national restaurant chains and big box retailers, he has substantial experience in the areas of food safety, premises liability, security and employment claims.

 

Mr. Schoen now handles select matters through his NJ based practice, and is also the chief legal advisor to several internet startups in the social media influencer marketing space.
